Van Zyl, Kristie
Kristie Van Zyl was born in Pretoria, South Africa. Kristie did classical ballet from the age of six. This
inspired Kristie for many years and formed the basics of her art career today. Throughout all the years
she was able to experience the world of arts intimately. Kristie also went to dance for The South African
Ballet Academy. During this time she learned a lot about self expression and is had a direct influence on
her work. In 2007 Kristie also won the Tshwane Youth City Council Art Competition for Fine Art.
Kristie has been a student of Marie Vermeulen-Breedt for a while now, and works with her a Jaco Van
Schalkwyk. She is mostly known for her striking still life paintings, and some with figures in. Her work has
also been received very well in the art market with many a collector keeping a close eye on her works.

Krisitie is a student of South African Master artist, Marie Vermeulen-Breedt, and works with her and Jaco Van Schalkwyk on a daily basis.
Kristie was also the winner of Tshwane Youth City Council Art Competion, Fine Art, 2007.
